Overcoming Peer Pressure
HAVING FAITH IN JESUS CAN HELP US OVERCOME PEER PRESSURE
The Bible never uses the words “peer pressure,” but it does tell us how we should deal with the many trials we will face in our lives.
Proverbs 13:20: “He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” This verse tells us to find friends and who want to improve themselves in whatever they do, such as school work, music, sports, etc.
Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
